Ep. 19: Gimme Some Truth

Hey fam,

We’re back with another episode of Lila! Let’s dive in!

Speaking your truth is often seen as confrontational and more akin to fighting or preparing for battle than peace-loving and centered from the heart.

Listen to the full episode here.

You may confuse the idea of speaking your Truth with the need to convince a perceived enemy—or a person you’re in conflict with— to see your point and agree. You might believe that speaking your truth is difficult, ridden with conflict, and would ruin your very existence, because after all, who wants honesty anyway?

Your freedom as a creative lays in your ability to be honest with yourself and tap into that deeper meaning and purpose.

This is a grave misunderstanding. Approaching Truth (capital T) with the energy of war, defensiveness, and anger diminishes the power of what you’re perceived to say.

The truth is that there is big T truth and all the little t’s. Most of the world, myself included at times, gets caught up in little t’s. Little t’s are opinions at best. They are the very bedrock of war, scrutiny, and arguing. Where you care more about being heard than understanding.

Your freedom as a creative lays in your ability to be honest with yourself and tap into that deeper meaning and purpose.

To hear big T Truth, know it by name and call it by feeling. Your impact is directly related to your ability to heal and let go of the small t drama, in the form of people, places, and things, and lean into the uncertain but ever most reliable vision of Truth.

This isn’t the easy road, but it is the one that’s calling to you. It’s the one that’s worthwhile. It’s the one that promises deliverance of your dreams in the forms of feelings, values, and love.

Learn how to speak your Truth is self-caring ways. That honor your light and your mission as a creative being with a powerful purpose.

Listen to this week’s new episode.

I believe in you. I believe in your dreams; that both if you are here for a purpose, a reason. And that these dreams come to you to dance with you and be a safe haven for growth. So believe in their presence.

As always, thank you for listening and being part of this community. Your presence makes a BIG difference.

Big hugs,

Lalita
