Your Natural Rhythm is Your Lifeline
Hey fam,
Everything I share is to support you in bringing your voice to the world, to make a positive impact, and to do so in self-honoring ways.
You have a gift, and if you’re here, it’s likely because you’d like support bringing that gift to the world, unconventionally, and on your terms. Oh, and the podcast is on very short hold as I heal from laryngitis. Keep reading.
It’s ok to be different than what you see.
On the tv screen. On your Instagram feed. Scroll for days and can’t seem to find you.
Because who you are goes beyond your race, gender, hair color, income, ethnicity, religion, and so much more.
When you know you are, you invariably know who you’re not.
Honoring your difference is more important than your uniqueness alone.
And what’s more critical to successfully honoring who you are is to first stand in your essence, child.
Your essence. Your song. Your unique rhythm.
We all have a rhythm that goes deep down into our bones, reaching through the seafloor, past gravel, slate-rocks, and fire, and out the other side to who knows where.
The sky?
The heavens?
The earth?
Your rhythm is your lifeline.
It’s your pulse. It’s your season. It’s imperative that you listen to your heart, understand your rhythm, and honor your very essence so you can do your very brightwork in this world.
Highly sensitive leaders, lightworkers, the dreamers with purpose at the forefront of change who see a possibility outside of the realm of normal: heed these calls. Listen from your deepest place and begin to step to your own internal hum.
Don’t dismiss the simplicity of what I’m saying.
Can you hear the ancient hum breathing life through you?
Your rhythm is different than mine, but together we can harmonize. Together, we can make music. Together, we can heal those we love with compassion. Your rhythm may have been born of different times, various instruments, and mystical experiences. Or not.
But it’s yours.
It’s you.
You are the beat of life.
What song will you sing?
Yours.
What orchestra will you conduct?
The world.
Who will you play alongside?
Us.
Universal rhythm is born through each of us and each of us makes the beat, that on our own, guides our lives.
So many sensitive, spiritual, and committed entrepreneurs, coaches and creatives have come to me this year with the same opportunity:
“I want to be successful in my business but I don’t want to sacrifice my family, my well-being, and my health. I don’t agree with the constant product launches, the constant selling, and the need to be bigger, better, and even more successful. It doesn’t feel right. That’s not how I define success. But I feel like I have to do that in order to grow.”
Is that true?
I don’t believe so. Anything that defiles your essence, or tries to, is the inferior path. The inferior choice. And as individuals meant to lead, meant to enlighten those around us, it’s natural for us to go first. To see the dark in comparison to the wisdom we harbor within.
Below are 2 tips to find and refine your natural rhythm on the path to greater service:
#1 uncover + Speak your truth.
Your message and your truth are your north star. Your truth is the message born of your own suffering, your own hard-won battles. Your gift and the very essence of your wisdom come from this knowing.
Learn your unique truth, word for word, and share it, live it, align with it. Individuals frequently use truth as this shiny, self-help upsell. It’s not. It’s the shell of the essence that you are. It’s your spaceship to your stars. It’s that special and that sacred and the only reason you have it is because of the fires you yourself walked through. Healed through.
I see you. I honor that journey. And at some point, it will be time to lead with that message, that art, that unique way of being.
Why is it important you lead with your message, your art, your unique way of being?
So that others may benefit from the shade of the trees you now plant. This applies to whatever stage of life and business you’re at. Your journey is so profound that it benefits the millions you seek with the ripple’s equivalent of a single rain drop.
For my people-with-a-purpose, you already believe you’re here for a purpose. You were likely born knowing this. And it can feel like a huge weight to live up to, which is why rhythm and integrity are so important (see tip #2)
But what is it? How do I communicate it? I have a full time job? I can’t pivot my business? And what happens when it gets scary? What if I haven’t healed enough? What if I get stuck?
Call me via email. There’s a way forward, which is tip #2 (see below).
#2 Practice your daily rhythm. Align with your truth.
This is called integrity. Daily actions that honor you meet your higher calling. This is the formation, or discovery, of your unique rhythm. This means honoring yourself, daily. This means understanding your values, the way you are meant to march (or prance) in the world, and believing in yourself enough to stand by it. Because it isn’t enough to simply say it. You get to be it, too.
I can give you examples.
I am a seasonal person, frequently changing, shifting, and very attuned to the movement in my environment. That means I require sun, snow, rain, and fall. It also means honoring the day to day and moment to moment; recognizing my energy levels and planning or rescheduling accordingly.
If something doesn’t feel right, I’m off my game. Previously, I didn’t honor this because showing up daily meant sidestepping what I was feeling, intuiting, and hearing.
I was taught to ignore and override my sensitivity, denying it was real, in an attempt to be like everyone else.
I not only ignored my own rhythm but also denied the validity of its very existence. It eliminated a very sacred and important language from within in order to be who I felt I needed to be.
My rhythm requires the ability to change.
It requires deep, dark tones and long overtures that bring me to light. This I know from experience.
You cannot sacrifice your light and the ways you are best meant to move in the world to be successful. No matter what ends you seek, the price is always greater than the outcome.
So how do you identify your own rhythm? When do you know you’ve landed on your truth? Or what are the environmental factors that support this growth?

Lalita
