Play matters as much as ...
[Play matters.]
Play is defined as to engage in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than for serious or practical matters. Amuse oneself by engaging in imaginative pretense.
Lalita, my name, means she who plays. I chose and accepted this name as an intention for my life moving forward.
What would I play, I ask myself.
Where would I seek out greater enjoyment, learning to amuse myself and leverage my imagination?
I will often define words and pull out the keywords within the definition. I then use the words to understand the makeup of the concept I’m looking to engage in.
So if I’d like to play, I get to be the embodiment of
Engagement
Activity
Enjoyment
Recreation
Amusement
Imagination
Today I look at life a game or Lila known by ancient Indian seers.
Lila leads my life.
Why is this relevant to your voice, your purpose, and your brand?
Because if you take everything quite seriously, you eliminate the ability to take creative chances on life, which is really life taking a creative chance on YOU.
If I don’t enjoy my work, I stop doing it.
Play ensures I bring my creative children and business to the forefront and honor its highest potential.
In that sense, play is very serious business.
