Gender, like most boxes, is a construct we can choose to leave behind.
[When I did this photoshoot, my aim was to embody and define both my masculine and feminine characteristics.]
As I get older and more “mature” I come to realize that my expression isn’t limited to polarities. I used to say that identity is fluid. Today I say that genders and identities, for me, are harmonious.
This honors separate parts and speaks what has always been the truth for me: deep unification from within.

You can sign up to get daily wisdom in your inbox and even watch some of my #AskJuanita skits. I am tremendously proud of this website as it’s the manifestation of me ‘singing my own song’ in a creative landscape.
Thank you for Farouq who helped me get these shots and bring my vision to life.
I couldn’t be prouder of digging deep within me to find these elements and showcase them. It’s also GREAT branding if I do say so myself. ;)
Why is this relevant to sharing your voice, your truth and your brand?
Because when you show up like a boss, with your full creative genus as a gift to yourself and the world, people pay attention.
And attention is the currency of the internet.
