Are You Scared to Speak From Your Heart? Here Are 7 Reasons Why You Hide Your Truth.

As I wrapped up a “Taste of Truth” session with a client, I was reminded of the journey home to your heart, and why it’s imperative that sensitive healers, coaches, and creatives walking in their purpose learn to publicly speak from the heart if they want to create the success they know deep down, they’re capable of.

Healers, coaches, and creatives who are sensitive and often seen as “different”… your magic is in your heart. Your big message, the truth you want to speak to the world, lives in your heart. Everything you want is linked to that exact space within you.

It isn’t that the way other coaches or healers share their work with the world is wrong; it’s that given who you are and what you’re here to do, you have specific needs, and until those needs are met until the healing work is done, you suffer in business and in life.

So, how do you share your big message with the world?

Whether that’s on a TEDx stage, by way of an online course that can heal and help more people without you adding more hours to your already packed plate, or a podcast that finally shares you, your voice, and who you really are?

You speak from the heart.

Be gentle with yourself. There’s a reason we do and don’t do specific things, including speaking from the heart.

Below are 7 reasons why you hide your life-changing truth.

1. You prioritize the wrong thing.

You focus on creating a funnel, new copy for your website, or a new offering to solve the problem of not being comfortable in your skin and working crazy hours. Until you come home to yourself and who you really are, you will recreate crazy that now just looks prettier.

2. You don’t yet know how to speak from your heart and be professional.

Socially we’re trained to speak from the mind. We aren’t taught how to speak from the heart masterfully. It’s a practice.

3. You’re not in your body or heart space.

You may have the habit of “checking out” as a way to not feel or know as much about the world around you. Your heart space may be filled with past pain and other people’s problems.

4. You over-give.

You may not fully trust yourself or have the practice of protecting your energy to feel safe to do it. When you go to speak from the heart, where your big message lives, you may over-give and overload people with energy. In response, this can feel like rejection or depletion to you.

5. It’s uncomfortable and unfamiliar.

Maybe you don’t want to. Why would you risk getting hurt or looking foolish, you ask?

6. Your heart might be broken, and you don’t know that it’s broken.

It’s hard to fill or use a glass that’s cracked.

7. You’re angry as all hell, and that scares you.

You fear if you face these big feelings, they’re going to all come pouring out or you might slap a b*tch. Sadness, grief, and depression, no way!

The truth is that you don’t have to speak or live from your heart. But you might have a sneaking suspicion that you want to and if you did, you’d be happier, and busier building your dreams.

If you want people to not only hear you but feel what you say and then want to keep learning from you, this is the way.

Healers smell shady and misalignment a mile away. The people you’re here to serve will only trust what you say when they can feel it’s true for them, too. This requires the heart.

P.S. Why would you want to speak from the heart? So you can create content that changes the world, feel fulfilled, work sustainable hours (versus 60-hour weeks that you feel trapped in) and live your calling. That’s why.
