(NEW Episode) Cast Your Vote Everyday: How to Make Peaceful Choices that Count for You and Your Family

Hey fam,

We’re here with a brand new episode! This week’s episode is all about the power of your voice and how you cast seemingly “tiny” decisions every moment of your life. Let them count.

"Life is a series of dominoes. Each domino mattering, independently, and at the same time, influencing the next one that tips over. Learning to not fret over each domino nor the subsequent ones is called peace." — Lalita, Lila Podcast, Episode #14

This is a powerful stance for your voice and the power in making peaceful decisions that benefit your family. As per usual, I encourage you to define family more broadly, especially during strife. Especially when a sense of belonging becomes a gentle respite during rapid change, which can be challenging.

P.S. People frequently sleep on the idea that gentleness holds power. It’s assumed that hard, fast, intense, cold (all yang and/or metal principles) are the most useful in growth. And deeper than that, we become marred by growth as this salvational destiny we must attain. People who swear they aren’t religious and yet make their status, their sense of self-worth, their religion.

I was this person. I struggle with this at times. No false idols are about placing your power in what is true. I am not religious nor is this about religion. It’s about addressing the balance required to succeed, without killing yourself, in compassionate ways that honor your humanity. It’s about noting that every black holds white; every birth holds death. Do you know where your power comes from if you lost everything you’ve built?

If you feel that gentleness is not a tactic to get you where you want to go, I ask you two questions: where do you want to go? And why?
