Doing the impossible
For the first part of my adult career, I told every single employer in every single interview I was detailed oriented. And it was a horrible fabrication of the truth.
But as I go through this event planning process to bring something amazing to the world, I'm starting to think for the first time that I really am detail oriented (maybe).
The reality is that sometimes the passion we have for what we're looking to bring into the world trumps our "limitations".
Not only am I typically not detailed oriented, but I'm not so punctual either.
And yet, with a strong mission behind me, I find the strength to answer email, remember meeting times and call people back.
It makes me wonder if we all were more aligned with what calls to us if we would find ourselves stronger, happier and more willing to go the extra mile to make the world a better place.
What do you think?
p.s. In an effort to make our worlds a better place, I'm teaching an online class for free about how to create partnerships with major corporations. It's going down next week and I'd love if you participated.
