If you spend too much time trying to be someone else, you end up failing perpetually. Role models are great ways to get started, but ultimately, you have to be willing to stand up in front of the crowd in your own, two shoes.
Impostors make money in Hollywood and Las Vegas pretending to be Elvis and Marilyn Monroe.
But you're not Marilyn or Elvis (I don't think at least) and that means that it's your stage, your shoes and your audience and the mic is live.
