You’re worth it and you don’t need permission.

Costa Rica, 2016

I’m sitting in the hills of Costa Rica overlooking the ocean. The only sounds are that of my thoughts, the click-clack of the keyboard beneath my fingertips and the trees swaying in the breeze.

It’s dry season here. The landscape is infused with browns, whites and specs of green.

The silence is captivating.

I came to Costa Rica as a gift both from myself and a fellow sister. When you read this, I will have just completed a 4-day/night-long ceremony in the mountains with 200+ women. I will have just celebrated my birthday. I will have experienced myself in a new way, one that I imagine is stronger, and yet I’m remiss to be able to comment beforehand.

There are journeys that call to us from the depths of our beings. Our creative nature, our creative path, it’s within us always.

Know that you’re worth following the stirrings of your heart and the crazy adventures she may conjure up.

You are worth every second spent on taking care of yourself, on living your dreams down to the tiniest detail, and you have the right to thrive.

To live this life to the fullest. You owe no-one anything and you don’t need permission.

You can do this.

You are doing this.

I’m cheering for you.

From around the world and back,

L.
